    Greed, Skating with Celebrities...

Technically, Greed was considered a rip off show, but it was their most sucessful. Let's not forget about FOX having an original idea first. Hells Kitchen came first. Then Bravo did Top Chef.

Yeah and Skating with celebs was a major rip off from Dancing w/ Stars.

OH, you also forgot Celebrity Duets. Didn't that come after VH1s But Can They Sing? Heh heh, Bai Ling. LOL

Well, even though it's a British import, you can't argue with the success FOX has had with "Idol"...as much as I want to. :-P

However, one or two hits does not take away the fact that most of FOX's game and reality shows are copycats that they rushed to get on the air after finding out about the competition's programming.

Didn't they do a ripoff of NBC's "The Contender?"

what game show did "it's your chance of a lifetime" rip off?

5th grader = 1 vs 100 (or the episode where they had 100 kids in the mob)
    chamber = the chair
think you can dance = dancing with the stars

Let's not forget American Juniors.....wait.....never mind, just forget about it.

chance of a lifetime was a rip off of millionaire/greed

when you have a final answer, you press a button to lock it in. oh hey that sounds like 5th grader.

and what EVER happened to the five winners of American Juniors? after the last episode, you never heard from them again. They are probably now in their early teens huh?

Correction to Ben, 5th Grader is more of a rip on a concept CBS is pitching for the summer.

Don't know if it's still in the works for CBS, but it was supposed to feature an adult contestant against child geniuses, and not the actors that FOX has.

With Chain Reaction coming back for a second season, GSN is resurrecting the classic 1960s
word/trivia game show Camouflage at the same time Tucker Carlson asks contestants the same
old question "Do You Trust Me?"

Jimmy Kimmel is about to be "Set for Life" post-"Win Ben Stein's Money," as ABC debuts its
English-language version of an upcoming Endemol format later this year.

Also, FOX ripped off ABC's Wife Swap and Supernanny as Trading Spouses and Nanny 911. The strange thing is that all the shows are doing well. They've all finished their third series and they ALL have been picked up for a fourth. The same thing happens for judge shows. Why can't game show copies find as much success?
