There is no reason why Mr. Leach should have to be empty handed. I am an attorney who represents the interests of disabled people, and I believe that Brooks’ sister may want to file a lawsuit on his behalf.

I have spoken with several of my associates who saw the show, and they all agree with me that Brooks is obviously mentally retarded. The lawsuit could charge the producers of “Deal or No Deal” with exploiting Mr. Leach’s limited mental capacity.

Brooks sister could testify that Brooks believed that he would be given the $1million just for appearing on the show, and that after the show ended, he became upset and confused, and began sobbing and wetting himself in the studio.

In court, Brooks’ sister would have to produce a pair of Brooks’ oversized, urine-stained underwear, but that should pose no problem, as she probably has several pair available.

Anyway, the lawsuit is something that she should consider, in my professional opinon.

Actually, I watched Brooks on the show, and I was struck at how much I was reminded of Junior Samples from the old Hee Haw tv show. I think Brooks would be an excellent choice to play the lead if they ever make a movie called “The Junior Samples Story.”

Brooks might also consider becoming a professional wrestler. Of course, there is always the danger that Brooks might become the first wrestler in history to pin himself.

I watched the show with great interest. I was astounded that Brooks made such a fool of himself. He was probably thinking ahead about how NBC would offer him his own show, called "Partydog" no doubt. He would marry one of the models from Deal or No Deal, and become a legend. Instead, he left with $10. LOL

There are many reasons as to why someone will try to go for the big money. Yes, greed can be a factor, but it isn't the only factor. Financial stability may be a factor. What if the contestant really isn't in dire needs of some big coin, lives a comfortable life and wants to try and go for it?

The fact of the matter is this, in this show - you have to have guts if you want to win the big one, plain and simple. In hindsight, if may not be the best decision, but that is hindsight, always perfect. What *IF* he didn't pick the $500,000 case and picked another one and drove up the offer? All of the sudden "America" is cheering him on. And no offense, but what the hell does he care what others think of him.

He may not have been the biggest winner, and he may not be remembered for that, but he will be remembered for going for it, and for having the ladies sit with him on the couch! Myself, I'll remember him before I remember somone who took the deal at $130K.

To each their own . . . it's that simple.

I think what Joe said made complete sense. I believe when he said Marisa and Ursula have been holding "a power block", it means the contents of their respective cases usually decide the fate of a game.

As for Brooks' comment, I emphatically disagree.

A few things...

Joe Capitano has seemed logical to me previously but when he tries to make a causal link between Marisa's past case amounts, and what she might have in her case this time, he's lost me. Each game is an INDEPENDENT event and whatever she might have had in her case before has no relation to what will be in it the next time.

And regarding Mr. Leach's post up above, just shut up. You were greedy, you lost, and a small part of America is going to be mocking you for a short while. After that, you'll be vaguely remembered as "The guy who lost badly on Deal or No Deal" to a diminishing number of people who will actually care.

Hi everyone. I'm Brooks Leach and here are my thoughts.

WHAT A SHOW!! I had the time of my life and it cost me $147,000 to experience what I'm going through right now, but who gives RAT'S ASS?!

The show is about picking one case and going with it. ONLY THE GREEDY PEOPLE SELL OUT OR "TAKE THE DEAL". I was trying to win the game. Everyone is mouthing my decision and I'm sure I'd be the HERO instead of the goat if 17 had $500,000 in it.

That decision will make me money in the long run. Think about it....

I'm in agreement with the majority, except one thing. When Brooks had $218,000 to consider, I was yelling "DEAL! DEAL NOW!!" Early? Yes, but he had way too many big numbers. To quoute somebody from another DOND board, if you get a huge offer, you MUST be very certain you have a super amount or you get out. He didn't and it was a very short time before he saw all the super amounts come crasing off the board.

I would feel differently if he had wiped out the left side and was actually going home a big winner, no matter what. But he was bad shape, and once he refused the $218K, I cringed that his game will quickly go downhill.

You've got to give credit for one thing to the guy. He actually accepted it, like he knew it was a possibility -- not like most of these idiots who righteously say no deal and then knock out the million dollars or whatever, acting like they never thought that would happen. At least this guy seemed to know the risk and accepted the loss when he picked the wrong case.

As far as the numbers go, his best offer based on the average percentage (a stat I made up which is basically the offer divided by the average amounts was when he had the $147,000 that was 118% of what the average should have been compared to 78 % when he had an offer of $218,000. However without my computer I too probably would have gotten out when the $750,000 was found just to go out with something

You can call it stupidit or guts . . . but the fact of this game remains the same - if you don't have guts you most likely will never get a crack at the top prize. Unless you are lucky enough to leave the $750K and $1M up there at the end, most risks are going to have to be gutsy.

I always watch it and think of how silly some players are, then again, hats off because without the fortitude to go on, they will never win the big one. I suppose there are factors that come it to it such as greed and financial stability.

For me, I woul dnever have won as much as some other players do, because I would be dealing at roughly the $130,000 mark no matter what, that is just me.

There's an expression I want to throw out now, "more guts than brains" when offered $147K the guy only had a 1 out of 3 chance (33.3%) of winning $500K no reason to gamble there, if you invest it propperly and everyhting $147,000 for last for years.

DoND is basically a game of odds, when the odds are with you you usually should deal.

Sorry, abric. That wasn't gutsy, that was dumb. Susan, you and Kim have my sympathies.

One case game, three cases remaining, decent offer ... HORRID DECISION TO 'NO DEAL', especially when Marisa's still standing. This season she's held a power block amount 38% of the time, way above average (BTW: so has Ursula). That's more times than anyone else.

Sure enough, he picks her...and "BOOM!" goes the dynamite. At least he was man enough to give her a hug and take his medicine.

Talk about NBC spoiling it . . . what a waste of time to watch when you knew he goes down to 3 cases, and for all intents and purposes, there was little doubt when he picked the next one, it would be $500,000.
